What this procedure may address
A mini abdominoplasty generally focuses on selected excess skin below the navel. It does not offer the same treatment area as a full tummy tuck, and the exact technique varies.
Consultation topics for this procedure. Your clinician will explain the approach, risks, and alternatives for you.
YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
Is this suitable for me?
Your surgeon assesses where the skin excess lies and whether muscle or upper-abdominal concerns also need attention. The word mini does not guarantee an easier recovery.
What should I expect during recovery?
Expect a healing period and activity limits tailored to the operation. Ask about support at home, wound care, lifting, and when to return to work.
What risks should I understand?
Discuss bleeding, infection, fluid collection, scarring, altered sensation, asymmetry, and blood-clot risk. Further treatment may be needed if the result does not address your concerns.
How much will it cost?
Veloré has not published pricing. Before committing, request an itemised estimate covering the procedure, any facility and anaesthesia fees, and follow-up care. Financing and memberships are not confirmed.

Recovery in everyday life
Swelling and tightness can affect bending, clothing and daily tasks. The recovery may be more limited than a full tuck in selected cases, but it is not automatically quick or complication-free. Ask about desk work, physical duties, driving and exercise separately. Follow-up should confirm when the incision and any deeper repair can tolerate more strain.
- Early healing: Arrange a ride and the help recommended for your operation. Follow instructions for wound care, medicines and gentle movement; feeling better does not mean the tissues are fully healed.
- As activity increases: Use follow-up to review the incision and agree on work and exercise. Driving requires safe movement and freedom from the effects of sedating medicines.
- Over the following months: Scars and remaining swelling may continue to change. Keep scheduled checks and ask about a result that is not progressing as expected.
Scars and longer-term results
Other options to discuss
A full tummy tuck may be more appropriate for skin above and below the navel or a broader abdominal-wall concern. Liposuction may fit selected localized fat when skin support is adequate, but does not remove excess skin. Waiting until weight and pregnancy plans are clearer can also be reasonable. The choice should follow anatomy rather than a preference for the word mini.

Procedure FAQs
Is the scar always very short?
No. Scar length depends on the width of skin being removed and how the edges can be closed without an unwanted contour. Ask for a realistic drawing. A promise of a tiny scar should not replace an explanation of what can be corrected.
Can it tighten skin above the belly button?
Its correction is limited compared with a full tummy tuck. If upper-abdominal skin is your main concern, ask why a mini approach would be enough. Do not assume a lower incision can produce the same overall correction as a full operation.
Is recovery the same as liposuction?
No. Removing skin and any deeper repair create their own restrictions. Even if liposuction is combined with a mini tuck, follow the plan for the whole operation. The simplest part of a combined procedure does not determine your recovery.

A THOUGHTFUL STARTING POINT
First, let’s understand you.
Point out where the skin concern begins and ends. A mini approach has a more limited treatment area, but it is not automatically the right choice or a minor recovery. Ask what it would leave unchanged compared with a full tummy tuck.
